Results are available in one business day from serum samples for sheep and goats greater than 30 days post breeding, with 99.9% accuracy for Open (not pregnant) and 93-95% for Pregnant.
BioPRYN is an acronym for Pregnant Ruminant Yes/No and is the trade name of the assay that BioTRACKING has developed to measure PSPB (pregnancy specific protein “b”) that passes from a viable placenta to the maternal bloodstream. The presence of PSPB at defined levels is an extremely accurate indicator of pregnancy status for ruminant animals.
BioPRYN is available at only 40 veterinary and diagnostic laboratories across the United States and internationally. To be part of this network, each laboratory must be certified to run the BioPRYN test. Additionally, personnel are trained to ensure they provide reliable, consistent, and accurate BioPRYN results to serve their local clientele.
